not really, but i thought that phrase would be catchy. anyhow, i just wanted to vent about how atrocious of a rental car i got while visiting SF a week or so ago… never again will i trust an american “economy” car to be as good as something from a japanese or even a korean automaker.

case in point… this here vehicle, dares to call itself a car:

its really… this. with wheels:

shame on you, chevrolet for producing such a piece of shit in this day and age, and moreover, budget rentals should be boycotted for even offering this as a choice for their “economy” lineup. acceleration? whats that? even if it knew how to do it, it would do it wrong. backwards, even. i swore this thing only had 3 cylinders, only to be corrected by a google search which indicated it actually had four. worse yet, this bastard loses 50% of its HP when you turn on the AC… climbing lombard street in this shopping cart was a definite no-no. and it was red!!! WTF? the only thing id say this car did well was to keep us cool with its AC. otherwise, it sucked just as bad as my brother’s chevy sprint from the 80s. at least my bro’s car was a stick – but that was its only saving grace.

be forewarned… if you rent from anywhere, and they give you this as your “economy” car, upgrade. immediately.
